When on a low or no carb diet, can you subtract protein, and dietary fiber?

First of all, I don't think there is any such thing as a no carb diet (unless you are eating nothing but meat which is not a good idea). As for fiber- yes, you subtract it from the total carbs. There would be no reason to subtract protein since the diet is about counting carbs, not protein.
