What are some of the important problems facing the American judicial system today?

Money is buying freedom, witness OJ simpson. Juries are putting outrageous amounts in lawsuits.Lawsuit awards should be tied to actual costs, not punishment of offenders. The punitive damages only cause prices to rise to cover the costs of the finding. Lawsuits are out of control and jamming the system. Media in the courtroom are changing trials into TV entertainment causing lawyers and judges to focus more on their stardom than the case and its facts.
