Unbearable pain?

recently been diagnosed with and the pain is unbearable. been given antiviral tabs and numbing gel. going to the toilet is so sore. its so painfull i get dizzy and feel faint. i really need someone whos experianced this to tell me how they dealt with this. also been given tramadol but makes me very sleepy and im a single mum of two young children so im not wanting to take it. please help :(
